Braaap into 2024

Braaap into 2024; Ironhorse Arenacross 2024 on the Horizon

Ladies and Gentlemen, freaks and fanatics, and all you twisted two-wheel aficionados, it's that time again. Time for the Holeshot Hooligans to grace your screens with another dose of motocross madness and mayhem! We've been MIA from the blogosphere for a hot minute, but fear not, we've been revving our engines, turning wrenches, and, honestly, just tearing up the dirt.

Now, let's dive headfirst into the action, shall we? We've got more updates than a Windows OS, and it's time to spill the beans!

Colin's Got a New Ride, Y'all!

First up, our main man Colin Campbell has rolled into the scene with a shiny new 2024 GasGas MC350. You know the saying, "New year, new bike," and Colin took it to heart. This beast is a fire-breathing dragon on two wheels, and if you blink, you might just miss him as he blazes through the track like a bat out of hell. He took her out for her maiden voyage during the CAMS race in Drumheller where he secured a 5th overall for the series, even only racing 3 of the 8 rounds. With this new baby in his arsenal, Colin's ready to tear it up even more, and it's safe to say he's gonna leave us all in the dust (literally).

Paxton's Upping the Ante

Hold onto your helmets, folks, because our young gun, Paxton K, has outgrown his training wheels – quite literally. He's said "adios" to the KX65 and upgraded to a Yamaha YZ85, like a kid graduating to high school. This bike is a rocket ship on knobbies, and Paxton's itching to show us what he's made of. Who knew growing up could be this fun?

Zade's KTM Switch-Up

And speaking of upgrades, our boy Zade made a switch from Yamaha to KTM. After blowing up the YZ65 from just pure awesomness, he's ditched the YZ and hopped onto the KTM 65 like a pro. The tracks will be set ablaze when this kid hits the throttle. We don't know if it's the bike or Zade's iron will, but we're betting on both.

The AOTMX AGM – Winds of Change

In the world of AOTMX, the AGM (that's the Annual General Meeting for you rookies) happened. What does that mean? Well, it's time for some fresh faces and new ideas to spice up the AOTMX board. Who will take the torch, who will step up only to step back seconds later, and what exciting twists and turns await in the next season? We'll have all the juicy details after the AOTMX Awards Banquet, which is coming up faster than a dirtbike on nitrous!

Awards, Baby!

Yes, we're ready to claim our hardware at the AOTMX Awards Banquet on November 4th. Trophies, medals, and maybe even a few victory donuts are in the cards. It's the time when we swap our dusty gear for semi-formal attire – we clean up real nice, folks.

Westbound to Popkum Park

Before we wrap up the season, we're hitting the road to British Columbia to ride the raddest track of them all – Popkum Park. Why, you ask? To celebrate the birthday of none other than our dude, Colin! It's gonna be a weekend of wheelies, whiskey, and wild times.

Ironhorse Arenacross is Back!

Now, Hooligan faithful and fellow two-wheel enthusiasts, we've got some red-hot news to drop on your laps. There's a motocross extravaganza approaching that'll leave your hearts thumping and your fists pumping, and trust us, you don't want to miss it. It's the Ironhorse Arenacross, making its epic return in February 2024!

Last year in 2023, the Ironhorse Arenacross was a total blast. It was a motocross showdown of epic proportions, and the Hooligans were right in the mix. Our man, Colin, revved up the GasGas and blazed his trail to a 1st place finish in his class. But let's not forget, it wasn't just Colin who put on a show. Rick, the Paxton's, and Zade, they all battled like hellions, chasing podium spots and raising the stakes.

Les and his team at Ironhorse brought the thunder, leaving riders, spectators, and even the organizers in awe. It was an event that took everyone by storm, and you know we're all about that kind of adrenaline rush.

Now, the Ironhorse crew has some surprises up their sleeves for 2024. First off, mark your calendars because the race dates have shifted. You're gonna want to be in Rimbey, Alberta on February 9-10 and February 16-17. It's going to be a two-weekend motocross showdown of epic proportions.

To stay in the loop with all things Ironhorse, head over to their Facebook page. They've got all the updates you need, including discount codes to some hotels to sweeten the deal.

So, here's the deal, Hooligans, gear up and saddle your beasts because Ironhorse Arenacross is right around the corner. Get your bikes ready, your setup dialed in, and your adrenaline pumping. We're going to take Rimbey by storm, and we want to see you there too. Stay tuned for more updates, and let's make this Ironhorse season even gnarlier than the last. Time to ride hard, ride fast, and show 'em what Hooligans are made of!
